Music: Youth Choir, Chancel Choir and Chancel Bells
Middle and high school youth will gather in the Youth Wing downstairs at 11 am on Sunday December 10th for our annual Christmas party. New this year: donation pool by vote! Bring a small donation if you can (up to $5). We will pool our money together and donate it to an organization of YOUR choice, based on discussion and majority vote. We’ll set up a brunch spread in the renovated downstairs kitchen, and will eat together in the Youth Lounge while listening to Christmas music. The Youth Program will provide bagels and juice ~ if you can, please plan to contribute additional brunch dishes. It will be a lovely morning of food, fellowship and giving in celebration of this holy season.
La Mesa y Café is a bilingual worship service of United Church to enhance the diversity, spirituality and faith of people in a radically welcoming and inclusive space where the table of the Lord becomes the sacred meeting space. Led weekly by Reverend David Mateo.
Taizé is a style of Christian worship that originated in Taizé, France, some 75 years ago. It is woven with Christian song and chants, interspersed with prayerful silence, scripture reading, more song, more prayer, and more silence. The effect is profound and takes one deeper, beyond intellect, into the very heart of worship. Be prepared to walk away from the experience refreshed, renewed, and at peace. You will find that Taizé worship will satisfy the longing of your heart to be filled with God’s presence.
