HISTORY OF RACIAL JUSTICE
Over the four weeks we will have four speakers leading a discussion on the history of racial justice in our state and country. Topics to be covered include African American “founders” of our common life and Constitution, the emergence and endurance of Jim Crow, racism without racist and the current fusion movement. Some of our speakers will include Dr. Blair Kelley from NCSU and the Rev. Dr. William Barber.
AGING WELL
This 4 week series will offer opportunity for conversations with useful and practical information on several aspects of aging. Discussions will examine dimensions of life important to successful aging. You are invited to join the group if you are entering this phase of life or are interested in knowing about resources for parents and loved ones. Speakers include Chip Baker, Aly Breisch, Ernie Kraybill and Bill Crittenden.
THE SHACK
Janina Roth, intern from the Protestant Church of Germany, will lead a discussion on W. P. Young’s novel, The Shack, which helps to find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions in Christianity: Who is God? What does God want from us? What is forgiveness? And many more…

RING TOGETHER JR. HANDBELLS begins at 6 pm w/ Jenny Anderson
1st through 12th graders are invited to this four-week session, coinciding with the Light Up Your Winter program at church. We will rehearse on January 14, 21, 28 and February 4. We will play in worship on Sunday, February 8. Beginners and experienced ringers are welcome!
