We recognize that music is a gift from God; in worship we offer our music back to God in thanksgiving and praise. Music speaks to the soul, uplifts the spirit, and deepens worship. It helps us express our thanks, joy, and praise, as well as our deepest pain, sadness, and longing.

We recognize that United Church’s community of worshipers and friends brings a variety of talents and experiences. We seek to support adults and children of all ages as they express their faith through music, regardless of ability or previous experience. Members of United Church’s community find expression as soloists and in large and small vocal and instrumental groups. As we sing and play a wide range of instruments, we seek to live the words of the psalmist: “Praise the Lord! Praise God with trumpet sound; praise God with lute and harp! Praise God with tambourine and dance; praise God with strings and pipe! Praise God with sounding cymbals; praise God with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!”
