Each spring Church Council develops a slate of candidates for Boards and Council for the next year (July 1 to June 30). Church Council has appointed a Nominating Committee that will select candidates for Moderator, Assistant Moderator, two At-Large members of Council, and Clerk.
Karen Demby, Chair of the Nominating Committee, introduces the committee and encourages members to nominate themselves or others for church leadership roles by Monday, April 5, 2021.
We believe that God is calling forth new leadership from all of our church’s communities and the Nominating Committee welcomes and empowers all who feel called to serve. Church Council has charged the Nominating Committee to proceed in a manner that is transparent, inclusive, and mindful of our values for racial and cultural equity. The committee is especially hopeful that confirmed youth, people of color, individuals with queer and trans identities, and Spanish speakers will respond with enthusiasm to this invitation.
We know that God is calling new leadership in the next year and we are open to the movement of the Holy Spirit.
Please use this Leadership Interest Form to nominate yourself or someone else to a leadership role. A Spanish version of the Leadership Interest Form is also available. The Nominating Committee will follow up with you about next steps in the process.
