UCCH Vendors & "God's Bidding" Online Auction

Order or bid on items here.
This site can be used to ORDER items from UCCH vendors or BID on items in the "God's Bidding" online auction.

ORDER: 1-lb bags of pecans (Alamance-Orange Prison Ministry); wool hats, handwarmers, mittens, and socks (IFC); "Sweet Land" poetry chapbook by Sherry Siddall (NC FoodBank); Dr. Lister's Free Range Peanut Brittle (future AGMs); Zatoun Fair Trade Olive Oil from Palestine; and more!

BID: Items sold in the auction are donated by members of UCCH. Proceeds from items purchased will provide emergency assistance for Afghan refugees through Church World Service (CWS). Although CWS offers support to all families, this project is specifically concerned with assisting refugee families relocating in our area to purchase of basic household items and help them regain some sense of normalcy. Proceeds are shared with the Inter-Faith Council for Social Services (IFC) in Chapel Hill-Carrboro to provide emergency shelter, food assistance, and other services for families and individuals who qualify.

IFC
Online Store

Purchase from the IFC Online Store.

UCCH has been a long-time supporter of the Inter-Faith Council for Social Service's work in the community, including through the church's Alternative Gift Market. When you make a tax-deductible donation to IFC, you’re supporting the only place to receive a free hot meal in Orange County and the only shelters in our county for people experiencing homelessness. Every donation makes a difference right here in our community. This holiday season and every day, IFC is thankful for your support!

Habitat for Humanity
Holiday Gifts

Purchase Habitat Holiday Gifts.

Need something for the person who has it all? In lieu of a physical gift, make a donation to Habitat for Humanity of Orange County in their honor! You'll be helping to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter for a family in need. Habitat will send an acknowledgement certificate to you to share with your loved one, or you can provide their contact info and they will send it directly to them.

CWS
Gifts of Life

Purchase CWS Gifts of Life.

The CWS store will be open until Christmas!

CWS Refugee Relocation Program provides emergency assistance and support to families who have fled Afghanistan. The type of support provided varies based on the needs of the communities affected and the partnerships CWS has established. While CWS offers support to all families, they are particularly concerned about refugee families with meager income who are fleeing their homes after supporting US troops in the 20-year war against the Taliban.

Peacemaking Scholarship

For several years, the AGM kicked-off with a fundraising concert for the Chapel Hill Carrboro Peacemaking Scholarship. Last year, former UCCH organist Bob Brewer & friends presented this Organ Recital to benefit the scholarship. Enjoy! Support the Peacemaking Scholarship: give online or send a check to the church with "Peacemaking Scholarship" in the memo.
