Save the date! Drop-in volunteers are welcome to join the new UCCH Stream Team on their inaugural creek monitoring expedition! We will meet outside the youth room on Friday, March 20 at 9:00 a.m. (a teacher workday) and cross the OWASA easement adjacent to the church to collect our observations in Booker Creek. This program benefits the Haw River Assembly’s long-term River Watch monitoring and is suitable for all ages (note: the activity takes place on uneven terrain and children must be accompanied by an adult). Wearing old clothes with boots, water shoes, or waders is recommended. We will wrap up data collection around 11:00 a.m. Please contact karen.setty@gmail.com with any questions.
