Sandy Bisdee, the delightful and wise Director of Children’s Programs at the Center for Education, Imagination and the Natural World in Greensboro, will lead a presentation and conversation about the Center’s aim and effort to bring to life a new vision of the relationship between the inner life of the child and the beauty, wonder and intimacy of the natural world. For people of faith, such a vision is a profound an essential response to this vulnerable moment in the earth’s health and future. Sandy brings her training as a Montessori teacher as well as her gifts as a musician, gardener, storyteller and lay theologian to bear on the wonder-cultivating and transforming programs she leads for and with children. In our short time together she will describe how the Center’s approach shapes the particular practices she has developed over the years–and will offer to UCCH families in May.
~Parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers, mentors are welcome to join us for this compelling and encouraging conversation.
