Free, with a collection to benefit the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Peacemaking Scholarship

Join us for a concert by the United Church Brass and Strings Ensembles, Friday, February 26 at 7:30 pm. These two groups, which often offer their talent to support worship, are breaking out and offering us a varied evening of music! The UCCH Strings portion of the concert will range from Bach to Broadway, and will include lively spirituals and a fantasia on a familiar hymn with rhythmic vitality and fresh harmonies. The Brass Group will play a range from Brassy Baroque to Broadway and liturgical classics.

There is no charge for the concert, but the two groups wish to support the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Peacemaking Scholarship and will welcome donations for this worthy cause. This charity was chosen to honor two brass players at United Church who are suffering from cancer of the jaw, and for whom this scholarship is close to their hearts.
